Memories
This has been an emotionally draining week. Unfortunately, it’s only going to get more difficult over the next two days.
The worst things are the flashbacks. All of the amazing experiences that I’ve had as an Ithaca College student are beginning to come back to me: the events in Emerson Suites, the friendships that have been made, the late night runs to Wegman’s, the parties in The Circles, the presentations, the concerts … it seems as if I’ve spent my entire life as a college student. Honestly, I’m not ready to leave an environment that is so great at fostering these experiences, and therefore, your growth as a person.
I read a quote today: “Don’t be sad that it’s over, smile because it happened.” For me, that’s what it comes down to. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous as to what comes next, but I know that enjoying the memories made at Ithaca College will give me the strength to conquer whatever the next step may be.
